"I've always instinctively liked rugby without ever having got close up, either as a supporter or a player. Deep down though, I've always been fascinated by the brute force of these men – fascinated by their dis-concerting beauty, the antithesis our vision of beauty. Out of this attraction, my first project called Broken Faces, was born in 2004, produced for l'Equipe Magazine. It was a series of close-up portraits of the pillars of the France XV. I"
